01The concept
Mninga & Co. is a fictional business we created to show how we approach furniture and home stores: a showroom in Ngong with its own workshop behind it, building solid hardwood furniture since 1994. Mninga is an East African hardwood.
02The brief
Compete with imported flat-pack furniture: show real prices and finishes online, explain why solid wood lasts, make made-to-measure orders easy to start, and bring buyers into the showroom.
03What we built
A calm, lasting brand
A mninga leaf on a plank, forest ink, teak, sawdust and linen colours, and Marcellus with Jost type, set out in brand guidelines.
